Objectives of the training:
Recognize the magnitude of the problem of suicidal behavior; Know the legislative mandates for school suicide prevention; Develop knowledge and skills associated with tier-two school-based suicide intervention and student risk screening; Appreciate legal and ethical issues associated with school suicide intervention.
Dr. Stephen Brock
Dr. Stephen E. Brock is Professor Emeritus of School Psychology at California State University, Sacramento, with extensive experience in school psychology, crisis response, suicide prevention, threat assessment, and mental health. He has held numerous leadership roles in the California Association of School Psychologists (CASP) and National Association of School Psychologists (NASP), including serving as president of both organizations. He has received numerous honors, including NASP’s Lifetime Achievement Award in 2024.
