  • If you are a current member of a CASP affiliate, please join us with your special code provided by your CASP affiliate.
    -- Please note this is an in-person only event, the is no recording or virtual options---
  • We welcome all! If you are not a current member of SANDCASP or another CASP affiliate, please join us, but consider signing up as a member for a $5 discount on this training and future trainings.
  • This option is only for current SANDCASP Board Members who want to purchase lunch and/or CEUs

    **Lunch - time constraints will not allow off-campus lunch, so please purchase lunch with SANDCASP or bring you own*****
  • If you are a school psychologist joining us from San Diego Unified, please select this option to purchase a lunch from Urban Cafe.

Join SANDCASP for an in-person training with Dr. Stephen Brock.

This event will not be recorded, only in-person attendance, lunch options available for additional charge. 

Objectives of the training:

Recognize the magnitude of the problem of suicidal behavior; Know the legislative mandates for school suicide prevention; Develop knowledge and skills associated with tier-two school-based suicide intervention and student risk screening; Appreciate legal and ethical issues associated with school suicide intervention.

Dr. Stephen Brock

Dr. Stephen E. Brock is Professor Emeritus of School Psychology at California State University, Sacramento, with extensive experience in school psychology, crisis response, suicide prevention, threat assessment, and mental health. He  has held numerous leadership roles in the California Association of School Psychologists (CASP) and National Association of School Psychologists (NASP), including serving as president of both organizations. He has received numerous honors, including NASP’s Lifetime Achievement Award in 2024.
